Thick material, it does have some stretch but its not as stretchy as other FN jeans. This is definitely better denim than the norm on FN. Still, the cut is not flattering on my body type which is somewhere between pear and hourglass. I'm 5'5" 180lbs right now with minimal belly for my size. I got a size 11 and they just fit, but they are not flattering to my body type. They make me look shorter and fatter than I actually am. The good news is that if you are taller than me or smaller than me, these will probably look great on you! So I still recommend them because they are such great quality, just keep in mind that a taller or less curvy body type might look best in these jeans.
