I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs. I bought a size 7 and it fits great in the waist and hip, but it gets too wide and loose around my thighs. I don't plan on wearing these with heels often, but I can see how the width of the pants is flattering with 3+ inch heels, it gives a very elongated and flattering look. The length is great for all girls or girls with long legs.
