Fit great!

I bought a Large (my go-to for this site), I am 5'4", 150lbs with a big butt and little belly. So this was my first pair of higher-waisted pants from this site that were uncomfortable to button, it was very tight at the waist. It was also tight at the thighs (no stretch) and very baggy and long. A medium would not have buttoned at all and an XL would be cartoonish considering the wide leg. I wouldn't recommend these if you don't have slim thighs. Most of the professional wide leg pants I buy have some structure to the fabric, so I think the pants being polyester worked against the design. Nice quality though if you have the shape so I didn't want to give it a 1.
