I think an XL would have fit me better. The skirt isn’t very stretchy so even though i got it over my butt it wouldn’t button up without no longer being a skirt lol. I suggest sizing up if you have a stomach and a butt. Other than sizing the design is really cute and true to the photo!

this skirt is sooo cute it fits perfectly and has enough room so you can sit comfortably , it you want a tighter fit size down!
