for reference, I’m 5’2, 170 lbs, and 42’ hips. I saw some reviews that said these had some stretch and were really baggy, so I went with a 9. The baggy part is accurate and the thighs were comfortable, however, the waist was so tight in comparison, that is was hard to get it over my hips and they definitely gave me a muffin top once I got them buttoned. I recommend going UP one size from your normal, just because of how tight and non stretchy the waistband is.
