Firstly, I'm 5.4, 155 lbs, 32 waist and 44 hips... I got a large and they are perfect.... They aren't super stretchy. And I wanted a firm but smooth fit... I probably could have squeezed into a medium... But I'm sure the waist would have been bulging a bit... So even though I got the large... I look just like the model in them... And not see through... Very good denim material.
