I bought a size 4 because there was no option for a size 3 and they were way too big. I’m 135lbs and 5’5 and I wear a size M.

VERY comfortable, however they stretch out with wear so I probably should have sized down. The length shrank with wash and they aren't "wide leg" - more like bootcut.
