This is a great set! I normally wear a L, pending the item has at least 2% spandex or some other stretchy material included. Based on the 4reviews that were here, I opt'd for a 1X which was slightly too big in the pant. It didn't give the "fit" I wanted however the top was on point. I weigh 200lbs, 5'7 1/2, hips44, small waist 32/33 for my frame/build. I'm small up top however the 1X top fits me great - which means it runs small. I'm curvy with long legs - short torso. The length is excellent! I love the set so much I ordered an XL which I know will work well, because the 1X is not too far off (pant-wise). I just wanted the pant a bit more snug. I've decided to take the 1X to my Tailor 2have it turned in to skirt since I'm stuck with it.
