First of all, I feel like a lot of people don't read the product descriptions before buying stuff. Fashion Nova is known for catering to curvy women of ALL sizes and because of that, the vast majority of customers are expecting everything to stretch. And while 96% of everything on the website does, it's nice to see that there are options that don't. Because ultimately, non-stretch clothes are meant to look and feel different. Everything shouldn't be spandex! With that said, YES, they missed the mark with the sizing on this dress. TWO SIZES UP is going to be a requirement if you order this and even then...you have to have the "right body type" to pull it off. But that IS the nature of tailored clothing - something I love. Now, I'm currently 200 lbs, 5'8", 40D, natural hourglass figure. Normally, I'm 170 lbs, 38D but it was a rough year, lol. I was able to mission impossible my way into this dress with a closed zipper. However, if I want to wear this for my birthday, sit, eat, and breathe, I'm going to have to stick to my diet and lose 30 lbs as planned. If I had been my normal weight I should be in a M/L, not an XL. And an XL will just barely fit when I get back to my normal weight.

The color of the dress is very pretty, but the sizing is nowhere near what you’d think an XL would be. There is absolutely no stretch or give in the skirt. I would say it fits closer to a standard medium maybe even a small. I specifically chose fashion nova for a dress because I always see curvy girls wearing it and I was so disappointed to find the sizing to be so off. Can’t return so wasted money.
