Material seems faded

I purchased this dress and it was non returnable, however when I received the dress it looked as if it was worn before. I did not have the time or energy to go back and forth with Fashion Nova and the price of the dress wasn't worth my time. . I ordered a L because of the previous reviews and I wanted a bigger fit but the L fits me like a M. . Maybe the 1 I receiver was washed and dried as I said it looked as if it was worn before.
