The shorts are pretty fitted/tight at the waist. Wouldn't recommend sizing up though because then it would be too big. It's still comfortable. I wouldn't wear this in really hot weather because the material is a little thicker than I expected. It'd probably be good on a day that was no hotter than 75 degrees F. For reference, I'm 5'3", 143lbs, have a 36" bust (36B), 31" waist, and 39" hips.
