I am apple-shaped so I carry most of my weight on my stomach, so I always size up. At 180 lbs, 5 ft 3 in., the 2x fit great without being too snug around my stomach (but I prefer a slightly looser fit). It's a thicker stretchy material that fits and sits well on the body. The length is perfect for me and can easily go from classy to club attire depending on how it's accessorize. The angled cut definitely draws the eye to the legs... which is my better feature, so this dress is a WIN for me!
