The skirt itself looks frumpy. It is elastic on the bottom and not flowy. I ended up adding it to the donation pile as not worth sending back. Just wasn't for me. I purchased a lg fit fine. I'm 178 lbs and 5'5" and length wasn't too short. I just hated the elastic on the bottom of the skirt.
