It seems pretty stable for indoor walking nit recommend for uneven sidewalks or city streets with subway grates because if you're not careful they will definitely break. The calf area is 15.5 Inc and even though there is a adjustable buckle at the top portion of the boot, the material used has no stretch. Footbed fits comfortably but tight in the pointed toe area, size up for room. I'm a US size 8, foot measurements are length 9.5 inches, with 3.5, circumstance 9 inches. I purchased a size 8.5 the boot length heel to toe point is 11 inches. My toes stop at 10 inches.
