Wore this dress to a late spring wedding and it was almost perfect. Other reviews are correct that there is no stretch in the bottom hem where the feathers are sewn so there isn't a lot of space to open your legs, but I danced all night and it wasn't the end of the world. The feathers also stayed more in tact than I expected. I thought there would be a trail of them throughout the venue but I honestly think I lost maybe 3. More of them fell off while I was putting the dress on than while I was actually wearing it, and they are packed on pretty densely so it's not like losing a few makes holes or empty spots. The rest of the dress is very stretchy. There is a zipper but I didn't need it. I'm 5'11" and VERY top heavy and the 1X fit me perfectly. No idea how to wash it but I bought it on sale and for a specific occasion so I'm not sure if I'll ever wear it again.
