A few things upfront: I typically default to size M when buying lingerie online because when sized separately, I'm usually a S on the bottom and L or XL on top. This gives me trepidation when I order a dress, chemise, or babydoll, because I have no idea if the top will feel too constricrive, give me "push-up" armpit fat, or if it will be too baggy through the torso and waist. I am pleased to find that this chemise is MAGICAL. The lace is what I would describe as "sturdy", rather than "delicate", so it does have a little stretch. There are five vertical elastic seams to make it contract around the body and snap to form - the two front panel seams (very stretchy), then three "subtle" seams (two on the sides/hips and one in the middle of the back.) It is form-fitting and flattering. At first I did not adjust the bra straps and I had the bra on the tightest hooks; and I was happy enough with how it looked. After adjusting the straps, I did at first give myself some armpit fat (d'oh), so I brought them down a bit, and moved to the hooks to the middle. OMG HOW DID IT SOMEHOW BECOME PERFECT? it looks like it was custom-made for me. I've bought cheap, mid-, and high-end lingerie, I can't believe the comparative quality of this $6 chemise. I mean, really, it *is* pretty cheap fabric compared to say, high end Italian lace, but it is surprisingly well-constructed with the strategically and liberally placed vertical elastic seams and built-in molded bra. (I noticed only one slight dangling thread from the stitching on the bra foam cups themselves when I went over the whole thing.) If I had to take away a little bit of the perfect review, the little gold rhinestone ornament on the bow in the middle of the bra does look cheap and is unnecessary, but who tf will be paying attention to *that* when you're wearing it? In conclusion, I think I look killer in this and I'm happy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
