I first brought this in a large (my usual size for pants). It did not even pass my thighs. I wear a medium in shirts and jackets, and even that was too small. I returned it and got an XL and measured myself to make sure it wouldn't be too small. An XL barely fit me standing up and still. There was no way that I could even sit down in it comfortably without feeling like it was going to rip into pieces. If you buy, buy 2 or 3 sizes up.
