This is for women with short torsos. I wear L, bought L, but this fits like a M. The material is a little thin. And the beads on it are a little heavy for the thin material

I usually wear a medium (150lbs 5ft 7inch) and I bought a large instead based on reviews. I have a little pouch at the base of my tummy but the large fits perfect, flows nicely and fits comfortable, the medium would not have worked. You may need to size up.
