I am 5’7 and carry my weight in my lower stomach and they were very flattering! I don’t need them to be hemmed they are a great length and the cuts in the jeans are huge but they can definitely be seen just enough to also wear to work … regarding my stomach it doesn’t poke out and it’s flattering ! I put they fit large because they are bagging if your wanting a tight fit then use your normal size
