Very cute, material its good but a little thin. True to size

So I'm a pretty average sized person, and I bought a large to be safe. when it arrived I thought maybe they gave me the wrong size, but no. A size large fits like a size small, and the only way I could wear this is if I were to wear very high waisted jeans. I'm keeping it though because its not worth returning the top and paying for shipping. :/
