Purchased a size 5 and I measure a 28.5 inch waist and 38.5 inch hips. There’s a little space around the waist of the short but nothing a belt can’t fix. The belt doesn’t look awkward as I said, it’s only a little bit of space so not a bunched up short type of look w/ the belt. The back of the shorts around the butt area is A LITTLE loose but if you got a little booty (aka more booty than none) the shorts will fill out nicely and give some shape. The short isn’t a short short, therefore no @$$ out which is fine bc I’m around my father, mother. and kids often LOL. (We save the whore shorts for date nights w/ hubby only). The short is soft and comfy, I genuinely enjoy and hope the exact measurements help as I’ve noticed most reviews are ehhh. Happy shopping!
