These fit great when they go on but stretch throughout the day so I will wear a belt. I probably could have worn a 16 but I ordered 18 to be safe. The length is great and the ankle is tapered tight but doesn't fit me like a skinny jean, more like a straight leg high waist mom Jean, which is exactly what I wore in high school. I'm 50 years old, 5'11" and 230 pounds. I love these pants. Everything about them screams 80s.
