I bought size 5, I was afraid they might not fit and it was final sale. I could have got a size 3. My waist is 26 inches, hips 37. It is pretty big in the waist. I like the 9 inch rise. It hits far below my belly button. I am 5'8" tall. I do not like high rise. It fits good in the hips. I got another pair of fashion nova shorts size 3 , they fit better in the waist.

Shorts look great on thick legs. Makes my bottom look good. Shorts have a medium stretch but no complaints. I like the filaments hanging at the ends.
