Gap in the back

Size Purchased: 9

Usual Size: 7

Im usually a size 7 but I sized up to 9 after reading reviews. They fit so well around the hips and are even a little tight around the thighs. Only problem is it gives me a big gap in the back of the waistband. Not sure if I should’ve sized down but I think they would’ve been way too tight. I do have a big butt due to weight lifting so not sure if that’s the issue either.
